I have been looking for an opportunity to update all of you! I now have time to do so…

We arrived to Romania on Friday, August 13th, after traveling for 29 hours! For the most part, the flights were smooth other than a squad mate losing their iPad and another one’s luggage got left in Paris. Through it all, they had such peace from God and are working on getting the items back. Once we arrived to Craiova, we started to settle in to our home for the month which houses all 34 of us! We are sharing 2 bathrooms which has been a very interesting experience to say the least!

The next morning, there was a sudden change in room assignments after some squad mates weren’t feeling well. We have been in quarantine since then. This means masks on when walking through the house, schedules for showers, meal times and outdoor orientation as we try to continue to prepare for ministry here. I am asking you to please lift up this home and whatever sickness is affecting us. Could it be covid? Maybe. Could it be something else? Maybe! Whatever it is, we would like it gone ASAP! As of about an hour ago, I am now also quarantined in my room after eating lunch and not being able to taste or smell any of it. Even an orange! We know and believe that God is in control and we can trust Him. I will trust Him with this time of rest and will fix my eyes on His goodness.

It was spoken to me many times that this was going to be a time of rest for me. The rest is happening much sooner than I thought, but I am grateful. Psalm 23 says that the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters (waters of REST).

Please pray for our ministry host and the church we are partnering with. They are doing wonderful things for the Kingdom here and we are honored to serve alongside of them. Even if that is praying from my bed currently for this city and for my squad. God is so good and definitely knows what He is doing, therefore I do not need to!

Below are some of our views from quarantine!
